Liquid Fertilizer Industry
Application Scenarios & Customer Cases
Liquid Fertilizer Packaging, Complete: BIB Bags, Venting Caps, Filling Equipment and Cartons in One Solution
Liquid fertilizer is corrosive, prone to crystallization and gas build-up, and comes in many product categories. Approach it with general-purpose packaging and the problems surface in transit or on the shelf. Since 2022 QC Packaging has studied the industry's specifics and worked through bag, cap, carton and filling equipment one by one — and proposed the “Four Elements of Liquid Fertilizer Packaging”.
Bags, caps, cartons and filling equipment, supplied as one package: corrosion- and crystallization-resistant bags, Qigi-6 venting caps for gas build-up, five-ply corrugated cartons for downstream handling and retail, and filling equipment matched to your capacity — bagged liquid fertilizer from QC Packaging, stable and cost-efficient as one solution.

A BIB bag made for liquid fertilizer: corrosion- and crystallization-resistant, ready to use in pre-made form. Sizes 8L / 16L (holding 10kg / 20kg), customizable to your fertilizer's characteristics.
The liquid-fertilizer film for roll-film automatic filling lines — after forming and filling it is equally corrosion- and crystallization-resistant, suited to continuous production.
Breathes air, not liquid: when internal pressure rises the cap releases it, then re-seals automatically — solving the bloating and leakage caused by gas build-up. Press-fit sealed at the plant, screw-open reusable at the point of use.
Capacity about 1.5-2 t/h (20kg bags), 316 corrosion-resistant construction, delivery in 10-15 days — a high-value starting solution.
Capacity about 2-4 t/h (20kg bags), fully automatic continuous production, expandable into a complete line, delivery in 90 days.
Five-ply BC double-wall printed carton (edge crush >= 4,500N/m, burst >= 1,200kPa, stacking height 5-8 layers / <= 1.5 m, per GB/T 6543), ready for downstream handling and retail distribution.
The “Four Elements” do not have to land all at once — QC Packaging walks the whole way with its four-step accompaniment: (1) product assessment and solution matching (bag, cap and equipment chosen for your liquid and capacity); (2) sample dispatch and pilot validation (trial the bag first, then commit to the line, based on real product); (3) test-market launch and feedback (small-batch release, fine-tuned on market response); (4) scale-up and continuous iteration (stable supply, optimized as your range grows). Every stage delivers results on its own without interrupting existing production — and has helped many liquid fertilizer companies cut packaging costs substantially and lift production efficiency.
Choosing Between Two Approaches: BIB Pre-made Bags vs Roll-Film Automatic Filling
| Item | BIB Pre-made Bag (Qifei 13) | Roll-Film Automatic Filling (Qifei 15) |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity fit | Small to medium batches, frequent spec changes | Large-scale continuous production |
| Starting investment | Lower: bags + semi-automatic filler, 10-15 day delivery | Higher: a full line, 90-day delivery |
| Shop-floor form | Pre-made bags, loaded by hand | Film fed into the machine, formed and filled automatically, minimal manual handling |
| Best for | Companies starting the transition, wide product range, flexible batch sizes | Companies with a focused range, stable output, seeking continuous production |
| In common | Both corrosion- and crystallization-resistant; both can use Qigi-6 venting caps | Same |
FAQ
The fertilizer ferments and builds gas — bags bloat or leak in transit. What can be done?
The Qigi-6 venting cap is designed for exactly this: rising internal pressure lifts the silicone bowl to release gas, and it re-seals as pressure falls — air passes, liquid does not. Gas escapes without any leakage.
BIB bags or plastic drums — how to choose?
We only speak to our own solution: the Qifei 13 BIB pre-made bag is corrosion- and crystallization-resistant in 10kg / 20kg fills, and together with the Qigi-6 cap and a five-ply corrugated carton it forms a complete bagged solution. This approach has helped many liquid fertilizer companies reduce packaging costs by 50%-80%.
Semi-automatic or fully automatic filling? And how long is delivery?
For the start-up stage, the dedicated BIB semi-automatic filler (about 1.5-2 t/h, 316 construction, 10-15 day delivery); for stable output and continuous production, the roll-film automatic filling line (about 2-4 t/h, 90-day delivery). Both support later upgrades.
How are bagged fertilizers palletized and loaded? How much fits in a truck?
20kg bags in five-ply BC double-wall cartons, cross-rotated on 1200×1000mm standard pallets; a 13-metre truck carries 24 pallets, about 28.8 tonnes — transport loading efficiency is assured.
My fertilizer is unusual (high viscosity, easily crystallizing, high density) — can it be filled?
Tell us about your liquid first — the dedicated filler matches metering to viscosity, temperature and gas behaviour, and the filling fixture is customized to your bag and cap.
