Lightweight Design — Better Protection with Less Material

A BIB bag is essentially a flexible-material replacement for a rigid container. For 20kg of liquid fertilizer, a plastic drum weighs about 1kg, while a BIB bag (with outer carton) weighs less than 0.5kg combined. At an annual volume of 1 million units, that is 500 tonnes of plastic avoided.

Empty bags also stack flat — a single truck carries more than 5 times as many empty bags as empty drums, meaning fewer trips and less fuel burned.

Solvent-Free Lamination — Reducing Emissions at the Source

QC Packaging has fully switched to solvent-free lamination. Traditional dry lamination uses solvent-based adhesives; during drying, solvents evaporate into the air, affecting the environment and worker health, and may leave solvent residue in the finished film.

Solvent-free lamination uses 100%-solids adhesives — no drying required, zero solvent emissions — while still delivering bond strength of 4N or higher.

Longer Shelf Life — Less Food Waste

About one-third of the world’s food is wasted, partly because packaging fails to protect it. QC Packaging’s high-barrier solutions (including ConstBarrier) extend the shelf life of juice, dairy and coffee concentrates by 50%-100%.

A longer shelf life means fewer products discarded due to expiry — cutting food waste at the source. This matters especially in tropical and sub-tropical markets without reliable cold chain.

Responsible Manufacturing & Compliance

Class 100,000 clean rooms keep production controlled. PE materials are recyclable; trim scrap is reprocessed into pellets. Products comply with GB 4806.7 food-contact standards; FDA test reports available on request. ISO quality management ensures full traceability across production.
