NFC Mango Juice Export: 12 Months Without Browning
The Challenge
The customer produces NFC mango juice for export and needs 12 months of stability against color change and oxidation under tropical shipping conditions.
Southeast Asia's high temperature and humidity is an extreme test for barrier films — traditional EVOH films degrade significantly in high-humidity environments.
What We Did
- Used QC's ConstBarrier high-barrier film (OTR < 0.3), which does not degrade under high humidity.
- 5L bags fitted with butterfly valves; 220L aseptic bags for the industrial line.
- About RMB 0.5 per square meter cheaper than EVOH solutions while maintaining barrier performance.
The Result
- ✓12-month shelf life validated — no browning, no oxidation off-flavor.
- ✓Stable monthly volume: 30,000 x 5L BIB + 500 x 220L aseptic bags.
- ✓Stable barrier performance under tropical shipping; customer continues to reorder.
