Tomato Paste 220L Aseptic Bags: High-Acid, High-Viscosity Sauce Solution
The Challenge
Tomato paste producers in Xinjiang issued a collective inquiry for aseptic bags, covering four operating plants.
Tomato paste is highly acidic (pH ~4.0-4.5), highly viscous (28-38 Brix) and oxygen-sensitive; drum turnover and cleaning are heavy burdens, so a single-use, large-volume aseptic packaging solution was needed.
What We Did
- 220L aseptic bags matched to UHT sterilization + aseptic cold filling lines; the bag bottom descends as filling proceeds to avoid folding that reduces fill volume.
- Acid-resistant high-barrier film: acid-resistant inner layer with high oxygen barrier to prevent oxidative browning and flavor loss.
- Wide mouth + large valve for smooth filling of viscous product with minimal dispensing residue.
The Result
- ✓The solution covers the collective inquiry from four operating plants, matching bag type and fittings to each plant's filling conditions.
- ✓Currently in the line-matching and solution stage - bag type is being confirmed plant by plant against actual filling conditions.
