The 2026 White Birch Sap Harvesting Red Book Released--Qichen Packaging continues to empower the industry

As the harvest season approaches, practical questions such as "how to harvest, what to use for harvesting, and how to store after harvesting" have once again become the most discussed topics in the industry. 

We have distilled our experience in serving the white birch sap harvesting over the past five years and done something - the 2026 edition of the  "White Birch Sap Harvesting Red Book"  has been officially released.

The difference is that this edition incorporates the latest information on our 2026 product upgrades: "Qihua III" new membrane material, 10L large capacity, single-layer/double-layer options, and sterile collection bags , while also aligning with the latest regulations such as the "Management Measures for Birch Sap Harvesting in Heilongjiang Province", making the manual both practical and compliant.

What's new in the 2026 Red Book?

1. Clearer product information

We have comprehensively sorted out the 2026 collection bag product system:

• 【Qinon II】Single-layer bag: Equipped with "Qihua III" film, 7 microns on one side, 10L capacity, recommended as the main product

• 【Qinon II】Double-layer bag: 5+4 microns double-layer structure, suitable for complex forest environments

• 【Qinon lll】Aseptic collection bag: Equipped with "Qihua III" film, factory-sterilized, suitable for high-end customization

The specifications, application scenarios, and types of collection tubes for each product are all clearly listed, making it convenient for customers to select according to their needs.

2. More professional collection standards

Based on the "Trial Management Measures for the Collection of Birch Sap in Heilongjiang Province", we have specified the drilling depth, insertion depth of collection tubes, and the number of drill holes for trees of different diameters. Key points such as "drilling at a 15° angle upwards" are presented in diagrams. At the same time, details such as drill bit disinfection and collection tube installation are also explained - these seemingly minor operations directly affect the quality and yield of sap.

3. More practical transportation and storage advice

We have provided specific operation suggestions for scenarios such as temporary storage by the roadside, truck transportation, placement in quick-freezing warehouses, and storage in cold storage. We have also distinguished between the supporting solutions for the quick-freezing process and the UHT sterilization process to avoid confusion.

4. Clearer traceability services

The functions and application scenarios of the "Birch Sap Trace" mini-program are also explained: Orders requiring traceability services will have a unique box code affixed to the outer box, and scanning the code during collection will establish a record; regular products do not include traceability codes, but this does not affect the collection operation itself. 

 

Why did we draw up this Red Book?

The birch sap industry is evolving from a rough and unregulated state to a more standardized one. An increasing number of practitioners have come to realize that  collecting sap is not merely about "filling it up", but rather a technical task that requires standards, tools, and experience.

Qichen Packaging has been engaged in liquid soft packaging for over two decades, serving more than 3,000 enterprises. In the niche field of birch sap, we have accumulated some experience and also encountered some setbacks. We believe it is our responsibility to compile and share this experience with the industry.
